DESCRIPTION:2026 Pensacola’s Mardi 12th Night Kick Off Celebration \nThe official Kick-Off will begin inside Seville Quarter at 5 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 3rd.  Floats will be parked on Jefferson St. south of Romana St. all the way down to Zaragoza\, and Government Street between Palafox and Tarragona Streets. \nAfter opening ceremonies with the Royal Processional\, a Second Line Processional of Royalty will walk the float route and bless the floats. \nAs we gear up for the 2026 Mardi Gras season\, it’s hard to believe that it’s already been 15 incredible years since the inception of the Pensacola Mardi Gras Kick-Off Celebration. What started as a humble idea has blossomed into one of the most anticipated events on Pensacola’s social calendar\, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come! \nLooking back on that chilly and misty Thursday night 15 years ago\, we could never have imagined the overwhelming support and enthusiasm that our Krewes and community would bring to the table. With just 10 floats and a couple of radio station vans scattered along a few blocks of South Palafox Street\, we took our first steps into what would become a beloved tradition. \nFast forward to 2026\, and the growth of the Kick-Off Celebration is nothing short of phenomenal. With 40 floats now gracing the streets and our footprint expanding to include Government and Zarragoza Street\, it was clear that our event had truly outgrown its humble beginnings. \nOf course\, with growth comes change\, and over the years\, we’ve had to adapt to ensure that the celebration remains accessible and enjoyable for all. One significant change was moving the event from its original date on Twelfth Night (January 6) to a Friday or Saturday. Although we had to bid farewell to the traditional date\, the spirit of the celebration remained as vibrant as ever\, prompting us to rename it the Pensacola Mardi Gras Kick-Off Celebration. \nAs we embark on our 15th year\, we’re filled with gratitude for the support of our community\, the dedication of our Krewes\, and the enduring spirit of Mardi Gras that brings us all together. Here’s to another unforgettable celebration and many more years of joy\, camaraderie\, and good times ahead!

Join Krewe of Blues as we “Party with a Purpose.”  Krewe of Blues will host their 14th Annual Pin & Bead Festival on January 19\, 2025 in Pensacola’s Historical Seville Square.  This event is a great follow up to Mardi Gras Kick-Off.  It’s a Krewe driven event and can’t be successful without you.  Krewe of Blues appreciates your support and participation in this year’s “Krewe of Blues Pin and Bead Festival & Charity Diaper Drive.”  This is a place where krewes can get together to swap their pins and beads for the season all while donating diapers for charity.  krewes are competing in some friendly kreweship for the titles of most donated diapers\, best pin\, best bead\, best tent\, best in krewe wars games\, and overall krewe war champion.  this event is open to the public to come and see what the various Mardi Gras krewes in Pensacola are all about and possibly even find a krewe they might like to join!

The parade kicks off at the intersection of Spring & Garden Streets in downtown Pensacola at 11 a.m. The theme this year is “With Unity\, We Won’t Turn Back”.\n\nThe MLK Parade Pensacola began in 1987 with just over a dozen individuals coming together to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Now\, more than 35 years later\, the parade has grown into Pensacola’s largest annual parade\, celebrated by thousands who line the streets of downtown Pensacola. The 36th Annual Pensacola MLK Day Parade is a Mardi Gras-style event\, featuring vibrant floats from local businesses\, churches\, organizations\, school bands\, and elected officials. Each float is decorated according to the year’s theme\, showcasing the community’s creativity and unity. (Parade will not turn on Berryhill) \nThe Emerald Coast Krewe of Airship Pirates\, Inc was founded in 2017 and is recognized as a 501c3 corporation. Our mission is to provide charitable giving’s to other nonprofit organizations and support disaster relief efforts should needs arise. More specifically\, the Emerald Coast Krewe of Airship Pirates\, Inc provides charitable distributions to qualifying nonprofit organizations\, while also providing benevolent support assistance and disaster relief to individuals and families in need. By providing this charitable giving\, the Emerald Coast Krewe of Airship Pirates\, Inc helps to improve the quality of life for individuals and families and organizations throughout the Gulf Coast of Florida and beyond. The Krewe is bound together by a common goal of building a better community. When the need arises and assistance is needed\, we spring into action.
